I was happily surfing in the net and minding my own business when suddenly I could smell the distinctive smell of something burning. My first though was that someone had burned something in the common kitchen. But no, that would set off the fire alarm, right? I immediately turned off all my electric appliances, including my computer and started the smell search. In the end, it turned out that it was indeed my neighbor who had boiled rice in the common kitchen and then got a phone call from China, completely forgetting that he had food in the stove on the highest heat.. When I got there, the rice was a lump of coal in the bottom of a destroyed kettle. Somebody had taken the battery off from the fire alarm, that's why it hadn't alarmed. I always freak when I smell smoke or something burning. Fucking asshole.

Anyway. In the series of unauthorized illustrations to the fics I like:
