Congratulations! My story still kind of wants me to stab myself in the brain. But I just got a nice encouraging e-mail from my beta/mentor, which helped a lot in calming my nerves. (And whoa, can you tell I'm willing to whine about my SeSa to anyone within hearing distance. I even moaned about it to a friend who doesn't know of my slash hobby, only in the form of "Well, there's this thing that's kind of like a present and oh my GOD, my recipient is going to hate it!") [/semi-hysterical ramble] Once more, congrats! Look forward to reading your story!
With regards to your earlier post, I'm sorry to hear about your condition, even though it doesn't appear to be an acutely dangerous one. I hope it won't cause you any further complications.
Keep going, keep going! There is days left! Kill the story! You can make it!
My goal was to make a story that wouldn't look like it was done in a hurry. Dunno if I managed in it, but it's not a bad one. Yesterday I visited my proof reader friend and I was like "!!!!" because she chuckled at some point while reading. (my story was supposed to be "funny")
I wonder how many people plays "recognize the author" game in the christmas...
That's an excellent sign, your friend chuckling. If she found it funny and well-written, chances are your recipient will like it, too.
You mean guessing who wrote which story? I remember someone doing it last year and actually getting quite a few correct. I'm really not a devoted or observant enough reader, but I did some speculating last year about who wrote my story - if based on people adding me to their friends list rather than the story itself. :)
