I had a chance to see this as a preview, which was great, since It would have irked me to pay 8 euros of this.
It's pretty. It's *so* pretty, if you like film noir old "War of the Worlds"-type scifi movies. Otherwise, well. There is not much a story. It's all planes, robots and stereotypes, all neatly airbrushed. This is not for the people who hate style over subject.

On the other hand, the relationship between the main character and a scientist who they go to rescue is so slashy even my mundane friend could see it. It's all "Saving the world? Uh, okay, but it's saving Dex first!"

This movie was shot almost entirely against blue screen. Surprisingly, it didn't bother me at all. This is the way the movies are heading, it seems like.

Also, I went to see a friends new baby at the hospital. She was as cute as babies get. Visiting at the same time were also a 5 weeks old Ville with his parents, and I got a lap full of a baby when I got them both in my arms at the same time! At that moment I was like, "Uh oh", when I had the realization that I was a twin and our mother really had had this situation, plus two other kids. How she ever managed with us? There I sat and thought about maybe having twins myself one day. Uh oh. Anyway, they already had a name for the girl, but I don't write it here since I don't know it it's a some kind of secret, still. To be truthful, I had thought they would name here something... More aggressive.
