For the first time in my life, today I actually queued in social services. I had to get the freaking welfare application papers, and did they have a nice shelf where you could just pic the papers up? NO. You had to queue to this one tiny desk behind the safety glass and explain your things there where everyone could hear you. Luckily I had my radio with me so I could try to avoid hearing the other people for the 35 minutes I spent in the line.
A new addition to the huge amount of papers required was a certificate from the employment office that I had applied jobs. Yeah, sheesh, all the jobs that I have applied were definitely not trough the employment office, so how could they write me a note that says that I have done job hunting? Anyway, to there I went and a very perky lady shanghaied me to a two-week job hunting course, starting next monday. That's something to do and better than nothing. Even when I have this deep rooted mistrust on governments ability to help me with the employment situation, it's not like I expect to get the welfare money for free.

It was a nice movie, but something was off on it. Definiely a good DVD renting material, though. The catch in the movie was that a man who had blank moments in his memory of certain parts of his childhood, found out that he could go back to his old self during these black outs and change the way he behaved then, thus also changing the future. Of course, what ever he changed, it somehow always ended up with a situation worst than the previous one.

It had a lot of stuff bating us emotion junkies and fan fiction readers: Prisons, abusive fathers, psycho teens, people dying on explosions and whatnot. It was interesting to watch as a psycho stalker was a religious do-gooder in the alternative reality.

One bad thing about the movie was that it wasn't enchanting. The actors weren't very good and the directing was mediocre. The changes in the person's appearance in the alternative worlds were too in-your-face. But the basic story was a good "what If"-story, the teen agers in the childhood periods weren't too beautiful and they acted well.
