Penalties for stupidity

I lost my wrist watch a month ago. Since I thought I had lost it for good, and I simply can't live without one, I bought a new one. And today, surprise surprise, I found the first one. It was in a trouser pocket. In a pile of my *clean, washed* laundry. I freaking washed my watch! I washed my only water resistant watch in a high powered washing machine with hot water! Well, the leather parts are dead, but it's still merrily ticking. How long and how accurately, will be seen in time.
