I've noticed I still don't have them. Even when nudged I can't see anything slashy in the said pic and I had troubles suspending my disbelief even when watching Brokeback Mountain recently...

You have a slash blindfold.

(Can you suspend disbelief if gay actors play straight roles?)

Heehee.
I don't know, I really never thought about it. If I didn't know actors were gay? But hey, I didn't say I wouldn't buy any gay roles (by straight actors) or the possibility there might be something between certain people in fiction/reality. I just don't see slash everywhere like some people, even when some relationship is totally "slashed to death" (like with some LOTR characters). Not every male-male (or female-female, or male-female, for the heck of it!) relationship has to carry some secret slashy meaning - "sometimes a cigar is just a cigar". :)

I'm innocent that way. Or blindfolded, if you want to believe that. ;)

...And then there are movies that are supposed to be so gay, so gay, but not even the director seems to actually find the gayness anywhere *krhmAlexanderkrhm*...

I think the thing is that some people find it pleasurable to "find" relationships and sexual tension in unconventional places. Then, if you don't get the satisfaction, why bother, since suspending one's disbelief *is* extra work.

suspecting one's disbelief when watching a show where straight actors play gay characters is another thing altogether. That would be about either the actors being so bad at what they do that the viewer can't buy their acting, or that the viewer is so fixated to his/her world view that he/she can't buy the story line without additional effort. which is pretty hilarious thinking that people have no problems storylines about aliens and unicorns ad shit, but being with gay storylines like "tee hee, these straight guys pretend to be gay in this story.".
