- Both Project Runway and Project Runway Australia have started their seasons. I love these shows! The original, Canada, Britain, Australia and all!

- My compulsion to buy shit from eBay has again in full force. Also, bought a used copy of Vice Dos and Don'ts: 10 Years of VICE Magazine's Street Fashion Critiques from Abe Books after looking it through in the local book store. Interesting book, even if the "dos" are, in my opinion, almost as horrible getups as the "don'ts".

- Speaking of which, yesterday I was like, I'm on vacation! I dress however I like!, and went to meet my sister looking like a reject from a Cobra Starship tryout.

- A major Finnish newspaper published a news about a study that shows that Atkins is the most effective and most healthy way to loose weight. And this was really new news to who?

- LJ is bringing basic accounts available again for new users. Only that the new basic accounts are not actually the same, add-free accounts, but they will include ads in some form, and the adds-in-some form rule will be applied to the old basic accounts, too.

Edit: BTW, if one wants to keep completely spoiler-free regarding Batman, one might want to avoid Ohnotheydidnt. People are spontaneously writing about the movie in comments to posts that have nothing to do with Batman.

Atkins & Hesari

Did you notice that our 'major newspaper' Hesari did not mention the biggest news of the research? The research showed that Atkins diet actually reduces your cholesterol levels, especially the 'bad' cholesterol. Hesari did not mention this at all, they only reference to cholesterol was in the info box saying that people use _lowfat_ to reduce cholesterol. I find this bad journalism, especially when they show concern on how hard it is to follow Atkins diet in your normal life - and not mention that it would be at least as easy as following lowfat if there where lowcarb choices as readily available.

Well, at least Hesari wrote about the research. And this time they did not interview some Finnish 'expert' saying that Finns are completely different race that should follow lowfat even if it kills them...
