More stuff

Had a great weekend in Turku, meeting old and older friends.

But first ,on my way back to Helsinki, two hour train trip got longer because ten minutes before the supposed arrival, somebody jumped on the tracks. I know it happens every once or twice a year, but why with just that train where I was on?

After a sudden stop we heard a very correct announce of the train running over somebody. ("Juna on pysähdyksissä henkilön allejäämisen vuoksi.") Even when the officials arrived only after ten minutes, the train continued after hour and a half. Being Finnish, everybody was really stoic about the whole deal (except maybe the ones with connecting flights and trains to catch) After the arrival there were people, mostly the passengers of the said train, oogling it, trying to spot blood. :(


On Saturday I called for a friend if she had time to meet me. Yes, they had, she said. They could pick me up from the train station, and they could also drive me home after. They? What they? I had completely forgotten how people who just started dating a little over a month ago act like they couldn't live without each other. So when I talked with my friend, the boyfriend sat in the same room and played playstation.. (a pink one, bought with his money and brought and played with in her home) Don't get me wrong, he was a nice guy, but does the simple presence of the other person truly make the life so much better when you are dating? What have I missed?

So in the new year's eve I went to another party and we decided that after the year had changed, we would write down some predictions. I ended up as the one writing them to lj (there is a pic of me writing that entry in another entry.) I have never written so many typos in my life! The entry was seen as greatly amusing, but mostly due to the typos ;)

So today, after meeting still another old, old friend of mine, I went home and experienced the train "experience". Tonight I should still make a twenty minute slide show presentation about new forms of creativity and communication in the internet. Yay. *Puts coffee to drip*

P.s. It's always fun to hear when people who don't know anything about cats interact with them; "It just came to say hello to me! Just like that! And then when I went to sleep it voluntarily came to sleep on my feet! How funny! <3 <3"

The Cat also went under bed and did not come out after I stuffed her meds into her throat in accordance with the How to Med the Cat Instructions, section 4, clause 1.
