linzeestyle made me realize that as a fandom, American Idol S8 will be a summer fling. Summer will turn to fall, people will start their own solo careers, and AI Season 9 will take the place where the canon should be. Granted, popslash continued *years* without actual canon, but I highly doubt pairings like Kradam lasting that long.
Doesn't stop me from loving this any less. As a matter of fact, AI 8 is another perfect example of fans mixing effortlessly fan fiction-fangirling and "regular" fangirling. I think that started with bandom? There is no more (except when there is) different, "real life" fans with their different, separate forums and communities, but it's all mixed up now.
Anyhow. I love this guy, and when/if the fandom fades, I will continue to love him, because they guy just shines. And, you know. Just look as him:
