I'm So pissed off about the JC thingy. The worst thing is that I have only one real life friend that follows the pop scene at all, so I have almost no one to blow off steam to. Everyone else is like, "JC who?" when I'm all "AAARGH! Stupid NFL!"

Do you think that this is the beginning of the new conservatism in music shows? From Half time shows to grammys to MTV? Janet had more clothes on her than Britney's or J-Lo's combined, for god sake!


Oh yeah. Guess what first came to my mind when I saw JC's CD cover art? In the first second when I didn't see the staight jacket? Elvis. Sorry.

WHAT is this JC thing that I keep hearing about? I hate getting only half of the gossip.

Also, I want to figure out why it is ok to show a breast covered with a stamp but showing a nipple will cause the end of life as we know it...

In short: JC was supposed to star in NFL superbowling half time show on sunday. Yeah, bowling, but he needed the coverage because his CD is released in the end of this month. It was decided months ago and CBS knew the song was supposed to be "Some girls (dance with women)" . Okay, after the Jackson/Timberlake breast flash incident JC got a call. CBS wasn't comfortable with the song. Would he change it to another one. the other one was "Blowing me up (with her love)" which was a year old song, but yeah, JC said he would change the song. The next day it was "We are not comfortable with the lyrics, would you change them?" JC was like "Uh, wich ones?" He had to change the word "horny". (the song was in the movie that was rated PG, so what the F**?) OK; he could do that, he went to the studio and changed the lyrics. then it was the costumes. Then it was the choreography they weren't happy with. They haven't even seen the freaking coreography!

After that, it was "sorry, but you can't sing anything." So, the whole half time show with JC and Fefe Dobson was canceled and they put some hula dancers and drummers (since the event was in hawaii) to the half time.

So: guilty by association. JC hasn't done anything. In the Super bowl, he wasn't even there! Because he is/was in the same band with Justin, he is supposed to have sex in stage?! JC is really, really pissed. On the other hand, I'm sure that he is compesated because the cancellation wasn't his fault, and I think that in the end this media hype gets him a lot more attention than the show would have ever got. but anyway, I would be pissed too if my show that I have already rehearsed would be canseled for a reason as idiotic as this.

And oh yeah: This evenings "ER" got some last second cutting: they had to remove a scene where they show an elderly woman's breast for a second because CBS threatened to take the whole episode off the air if they wouldn't do it. Crazy those americans...
