I finally got internet at home on friday, so my weekend was spent productively by overdosing on internet. With a almost unlimited time and no one watching over my shoulder, what do I do? Download adult entertainment? No! I go to Huuto.net! Huuto.net is the local equivalent for E-bay. As it works on a smaller scale, there isn't that much to choose from, but as the buyer base is substantially smaller, too, it's perfectly possible for make great findings only because you vere the only bidder.

And I found a lamt that is perfect for my new flat! Most of you must just think "what was she thinking!", but I love it!

Just kidding! But you really can buy this beauty for only 156 euros!

Anyway, here is the one that I bought:

It's from the sixties and I have matching free standing lamps in white and yellow. Really. I think that it is pretty. I'm not kidding.

And finally, just for shit and giggles, here is another lamp from outer space:

This gives the whole new meaning for the metaphorical simpukkalamppu that we used as the meaning of any kind of thing that would hypothetically be bought to our science fiction society's office.

It seems like you are not sure about my taste. I like kitch, but not like that!

Ahahaha, the first lamp is crazy. I love huuto.net, it's so addictive. I've never bought anything that big, though. :)

It was my biggest purchase so far. I think that I got it with a reasonable price just because it was pick up-only. So, no other people to bid than us who live in Helsinki. But, my friend has actually sold beads and tables and stuff in Huutis, and they have been sold with a nice price.

It even has the mist effect! Dunno about the fountain. Maybe it has it, too...

I think the first lamp was cool in an ironically kitch kind of way. I would never have it in my house though.

I like ironically cool kitch, like pink flamingos in the balcony and my new fridge magnet, but that lamp would have been pretty heavy duty to attain because of the ironical value ;)
