Anyway,
3.01 and 3.02 of SGA were.. hm. Okay, before the season started, my strong opinion was that they better gear up! The second season was weaker than the first, which is a bad sign for any series. There simply wasn’t that much perfect episodes. Most of the eps were simply ok and were loved by the fans because the fans were already there.
When the season finales and continues of seasons 1 and 2 are compared, the story arc in 2-3 loses big time. Firstly, I didn’t like the plot that much. Oh, we are doomed! No, wait, we aren’t! Political issues! No, not really! Moral issues! No, we don’t really care about those! Also, the way the story was told irked me. One moment they get an idea, and the next scene, the idea is executed, it worked and it’s two weeks later. What, what, isn’t the ship supposed to be close to earth? Okay, it’s already in Atlantis. Just checking.
And anyone notice how Teyla talked about genetic experimenting and "the final solution" in the same sentence?
So, I’m really hoping that the series goes back to goodness with the adventure-of-the-week episodes and the new bad guys wouldn’t be as blah as I fear.
When I wisited, I also had a chance to listen the new single from Mr. Timberlake. What can I say? IMHO, it was pretty bad. Ok, as a song that I would listen from Mtv, but that’s about it. His voice is morphed to hell. What’s the point of morphing a big star’s voice beyond recognition? I didn’t even download the song to my phone, and I’m a fan. (What a way to test one’s stage of fannishness: Would you listen his/hers song, even if it was something like a lullaby or incoherent noises? With JC I would, with Justin, I wouldn’t.)
