CFTC

Alot of you have asked if CFTC is happening this year. I would love to continue it forever because I have so much fun doing it. But, Im pretty sure you can figure out why we are not doing it this year.. so no need to get into it. It was a blast seeing everyone year after year... Joey and I are hoping to start something real soon that follows in the footsteps of CFTC, and I'm pretty sure Chris and JC will be there also(because if they don't , ill kick their bums!) ... so keep an eye out for that... because there is alot more charity fun to be had!!

So. What now? Okay, Justin wasn't willing to do it anymore. Which is understandable. Still, I'm wondering if:

1) He won't do it because he doesn't have the time.
2) He won't do it because he has been advised to not to be associated with Nsync anymore
3) He won't do it because he just doesn't want to do this bubble-gum charity anymore
4) He won't do it because he had poor time in a personal level the last time.
5) It's really not up to him: Jive or anyone isn't interested in promoting Nsync anymore.

I'm a realist: I root for a reason number five. C'mon, why these kind of charity events are created? To get publicity. Money-wise, there is no need anymore to put an effort in anything Nsync-related. The Greatest Hits album came out without any splash whatsoever. As cruel as it sounds, the Nsync horse is dead. Maybe the last time was a trial run to see if the event could float by itself, but it was then decided to not to bother anymore.

But! Even if Nsync as-a-money-maker is now gone, it won't kill the fans. True, it's kind of hard to be a fan of a group that doesn't exist anymore, but dismissing the Nsync fans would be like dismissing the Elvis fans: Death doesn't have to kill the legend.

So, I will be following their careers and lives as individuals, wait for the biographies, memoirs and tell-all-books and still, deep in my fannish little mind, hope for a come back.

Being a fan brings joy to me, like I would give it up! Why should we try to severe our emotional attachement to them, really? There is no reason for that.

But is Jive really associated with CFTC? I vote for reason #1. After all, he's supposed to tour next summer. Coming anywhere near Finland, Justin? ;)
