  • Okay, I have to admit that my comic isn't done. :( It will be, but not in time. Oh well. So now it is time to make something up as a christmas calendar, hmmm..

  • Got my X-files "every episode ever made!"-dvd-box today. As it has the suspicious chinese characters on the box, it's not hardly a surprise that the quality is so-and-so. Some episodes with unmovable subtitles, episodes thrown in in a wrong order, discs which need some magic tricks before they reveal all the episodes... But who cares! It was cheap, and now I can throw away all my vhs tapes, yay! It even has some episodes that I havent watched before since I stopped following the series after the 7th season.

  • I also rented a flea market table in the town's biggest flea market. It cost me 26euros for a week, so I doubt that I'd making any serious money, especially when my stuff is pretty shitty. But I can't just throw away books! That would be like, blashemy!

  • Claudia Black will be casted as a regular in the next season of SG-1. That series is a regular Farscape homecoming party. Soo.. Should I start watching it, then?

  • Dropped the application for a media teacher's job in the local Diakonia-ammattikorkeakoulu which is like a Christian university lite. The job would be ideal for me, but they will probably take someone with twenty years of working experience over me. Oh well. *crosses fingers*

Oh, man, we auctioned a lot of my books at the auction of my Mom's stuff (because I just have no place to keep them) and it pained me. I wanted to buy them back. I was all, 'a whole box of books! For 3 dollars!!! Oh my God, what a steal!'

Also, good luck with the job application! Maybe they're looking for someone they can keep for 20 years!

It's so hard to decide what books will go and what will stay. How to not throw anything away that I'd regret later, and still ruthlessly get rid of the books that I'll never going to read again?

I hope that you found something of your mothers that you saw worth keeping. If you would decide to keep nothing, it could cause some regrets later.

I live in hope with the job thingy. I'm not a christian but with what they would pay, I could sure fake it. ;)

You could be like Marc Cohen (Walking in Memphis) 'she said, tell me are you a Christian, child? And I said, ma'am I am tonight!' Hee!

I didn't really keep anything of Mom's. I have some pictures, I have some jewelry (but it's stuff she never wore), but I really, really don't have good associations with her things and she had pretty much gotten rid of all the stuff I grew up with after Dad died, so the stuff she had I didn't have a history with, you know? Anyway, if the regrets come later I'll be surprised. I know it sounds terrible, but I really didn't like her and I don't have a lot of good memories of her.

And the books - I couldn't even bring myself to look at them. *laugh* I'd already picked up the ones I really wanted to keep, so I had to stay away or risk bringing them all here to sit and gather dust. lol
