For Emilia, and to any other interested
1 Head like a hole
http://s48.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2KUM55FBNLV6M1PFCV4AE8MYE4
A wholesome start, a song against the god Money. The speaking parts "from the bottom of the barrel" always freak me out. Everybody always think that it sounds like someone they know...
2 terrible lie

This is soooo sloooow. But, let's bring the angst!
3 Down in it

I can kinda hear the David Bowie references in this.
4 Sanctified
http://s48.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1OO2YS2FARE5J11NDQ1WOQZWKE
So, so good. After listening this, you will recognize the beginning of the song for the rest of your life. It's mesmerizing.
5 Something I can never have

With the previous one, these are the best songs of the album. As a song, dunno, sometimes it sounds like it never really starts but just linger, but! The angst! This is my ultimate Justin/Chris angst fic song!
6 Kinda I want to
http://s48.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2JARBMKCV427R37UAHLFHES27S
Back to the full industrial. I hear something aking to Placebo in this.
7 Sin
http://s48.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=166115V56U5A305P989CVLQ1J9
Not my favorites, but I dig the words: Not only "your kiss" but also "your fist gets under my skin."
8 That's what I get
http://s48.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3C5JA5Z1YTZWP3BL23U576F4DR
I dig the almost-eighties-pop background in this. The lyrics continue with the now familiar "I'm your dog"-line.
9 The only time

Not the easiest one, but definitely the noisiest. Give it time.
10 Ringfinger

This is a honest industrial piece, with still being a pretty easy song to take in on one listening.

Date: 2005-05-01 05:18 pm (UTC)Anyway, thanks so much for taking the time to upload all of this. ♥
In exchange, here's the aria we talked about - from the opera Lakmé (1883), by Léo Delibes. Delibes isn't one of the hugely big opera composers, more like a well-kept secret. I hear he was a favourite of Tshaikovski's.
I have two fairly different versions so I'm uploading both:
Flower Duet (longer)
Duo de Flores (shorter)
I wish I could still find the version I had when I was a kid; it was divinely beautiful. But I never knew who it was performed by.
