My fic Not a Good Day for Argentinean Tango, for the [livejournal.com profile] synecdochic's ongoing Reunion challenge is now officially released.

One more mediocre fic to the world.

a General Question: Which do you think is worse: an author that writes really annoying badfic and have her own followers, but who sometimes manages to deliver something that you absolutely *have* to read, even when it drives you batshit, or an author who isn't particularly good or bad, but just blah, who could maybe deliver something that interests you if you bothered to read it all through?

Well, I'm not sure I have the answer to your question, but as for me personally, I think I am the latter- but only like one or two people actually bother to read them all through! I think I'd rather have the not-so-popular stuff than the badfic, though. I don't understand what makes *some* fic so popular, especially considering much of what makes up the HP fandom in particular!

I'm looking forward to reading your story, though. I've put it on my to-read list!

I'm the latter one, too. I think that being a popular bad!fic writer requires something that you can't catch if you don't have the natural talent for it. I have been following about a year a fic where Nick CArter has cancer and the story is *so bad*... Still, I'm cheering for the arrival of the next chapter. Thank god she doesn't write it on lj, so I'm not required to comment.

Or, then it could be totally random, like in a chaos theory: Some people get fame and to some, it just builds up, with no particular reason but the force of the moving wheels.

Hmmm, a mixture of the two. I love some badfic, and I find some really good fic by people who others call ok.

And as my computer is being a total monster about loading webpages today I shall have to get to the stories tomorrow or so.

Stupid computer.

I loved the fic! The opening paragraph was perfect, and then there were scary and uncomfortable things that left me aching, but the ending was sweet and full of hope. Go you!

Nice story. I hope the guys don't end up this broken and Jive finds a better reason to get another album out of them, but I would LOVE to hear the CD from your story!
