the thing that makes me the most mad is the TSA is in no way affiliated with the airlines. they're under-trained. under-staffed. under-paid. government people. the majority of the time they're fine - jsut a little cranky - but the "law" gives them the right to abuse their power.
security used to be the airline's duty. I liked it better that way.

One of "in the know" said in the comments that in a situation like that, you should *always keep smiling*, because shoving fear would only get you into more trouble. Smile smile smile... How horrible it would be, to be so scared and not even able to raise your voice...
No prob. I'm not American, so I have sometimes troubles in feeling like these things *actually happens* and are not some urban legends. Reading personal comments helps me keep it real. I feel like it's my responsibility to at least follow where the world is going and not deny all because the geographical distance.
