Apr. 5th, 2004 10:15 amI'm in a so fan girl mood right now. Chris was introducing his protege band OHNO and sang two of his own songs. I would *so* buy his CD. Read the wonderful review of the concert from
chris_issues. Fans always get their way, so, pics, mp3's and maybe later even mpg's are up to pick up my fan mood. Also, waiting for mp3's of JoJoKid Show from last night. (There is actually an scientific explanation for fan squee. If you are interested, go read article Is There a Fan in the House?: The Affective Sensibility of Fandom by Lawrence Grossberg that can be found in the book The Adoring Audience Fan Culture and Popular media ed. Lisa A. Lewis.)
More fan squee for me, since I entertained myself yesterday by watching 3 and a half hours of O-town marathon. Man, they sucked! But well, what can you expect from kids thrown together, who never had sang professionally and were expected to get it together in three weeks? O-town was a completely American phenomenon and before watching that tape I had never actually seen or hear them sans the "liquid dreams" video. The tape ended just as Ikaika had left and they were considering Dan as a replacement. I was left hanging with my newfound voyreuristic tendencies. Anyone got a old O-town tape which they would like to give to the good cause?
Also, if you didn't notice from the previous, I have a tv now! Yay! Besides fan goods, I also got to watch my "Bowling for Columbine" DVD that I bought just when my previous tv blew up. Also I got a digital camera for a loan for about two seconds, so I took pics of my cacti and my minuscule room that I live. Me and my sister kind of moved my furniture around and now the room looks like it's been redecorated. thanks, sis! You even vacuumed! and bought me toilet paper ;)
