Oh yes, we love the WIP meme. Most recently via linzeestyle:

When you see this, post an excerpt from as many random works-in-progress as you can find lying around. Who knows? Maybe inspiration will burst forth and do something, um, inspiration-y.

Most of these are really short because I tend to do the first plot sketch in Finnish. Sorry about that.

Mpreg, Patrick/Pete

“The doctors said that I have always been this way, but its like a one in a million chance that I went this far, or that it would happen again.”

“This far… You mean that there could have been false starts before?” Patrick used to have these kind-of boyfriends when they were still playing in basements, when he still carried his teen-aged idea that being bisexual was something you actually had to perform to be able to identify as one. The idea of Patrick unknowingly miscarrying when he was an idiot eighteen year old is fucking unsettling.

“Probably. I don't know. They think so.” Patrick settles back to the couch. “It might explain some things.”

Pete upgrades his best friend’s idiocy level from someone who forgets a condom to someone who doesn't go to a doctor when... Whatever must have happened happened. “I correct my previous statements. Dude. You are a moron.”

Patrick raises an eyebrow. “Says the surprise father.”

“Point.” Pete can't help but grin, because as surprise fathers go, he is by default much better than those assholes at the time.


Hookerfic

Ryan and Patrick are the ones who cater the pedophiles. Those with a taste of jailbait are drawn to Ryan like flies. Patrick? He gets the total creeps with a fantasy of pre-bubecent-young. Some of those start their fantasy even before they roll the car window down, and ask for Patrick like they were luring a five-year-old to the car. Chubby-young. Pete wants to kill those.

Ryan dresses like a sullen emo kid. like a teenager. Patrick is super clean shaved and dresses in loose jeans, a striped polo shirt and a baseball cap. He also carries his real id to show to the clients securing their asses and to stop the Jesus freak do-gooders for calling child protective services.

When he tried to be a normal dude, somehow he still always ended up dating older guys. A lot older, but was it his fault that the ones his age didn't give him a time of a day? He tried to stop after his shithead-of-a-date tongue-kissed him where everyone could see and then said loudly "Wait till your mom gets home, then you will have it from us both". Patrick had wanted to die, he had been so ashamed.


Sex and Violence

Celebrity blog entrys hit the comment limits fater than ever. For twelve hours, Fall Out Boy and affiliated terms are the most googled in the world ("Patrick Stump" never rises as the most searched word because people mix him up with Pete)

Their management gives out a statement. They can't not to, not with the amount of public interest. It's intentionally vague with references to "this difficult time" and the oblicatory request for privacy. Pete isn't so vague; His first blog post gets taken down in minutes because public death threats are not good for anyones career.


Kidnapping fic for my personal amusement

The kidnapping becomes the media topic of the year. Everyone wants a piece of the story. National Enquirer digs up the woman's mother and publishes an "insider" article about the woman and her mother's pleads to see her grand daughter. Patrick remembers that news story about the european kidnapper-father-rapist, and how very interesting it all had been, and he wants to puke. They are nowhere near the point where they could face with humor the new "Free Baby Stump!" merchandise popping up in the net.

As you can see, writing dialogue is like pulling a teeth :/ The first of these to see the light of the day is the mpreg one. 11 000 words and counting...
