This is a rec/introduction fic list that I made for lumiyu to get her hooked. Now that I look at it, I see that it isn't very comprehensive (where are all the early years/underage fics?), but rather a list of my personal likes. Well. Anyway.

Not the typical pregnancy.
Do not fear the mpreg! This is actually the best mpreg that I have ever read. Quite realistic, actually, as mpregs go. And emotinal realism in this is marvelous.

Hedonism by damagereport. Joe/Patrick, Pete/Patrick, implied Pete/Ashlee R.
Just because you feel good, doesn't make you right.
When group slut fics and threesomes squick me, cheating or changing boyfriends inside the same group is one of my favorites. A bit long and slow in parts, but do not miss the excellent "Pete loses his shit"-part!

I don't usually rec AU's for first timers, but this is a must read. sua_lay, I'm looking at you. You must read this!

Phantom Voices by nafs Gen.
Patrick and his stupid noise-cancelling headphones, and his years of loud concerts without adequate protection.
Disability fics is one of my kinks. Too bad that they are usually not that good. But this is. Great story without any excess melodrama.

Chord Change by giddygeek. Adult.
"So," he says, spinning his chair a little, cross-legged; we're all friends here, "You dudes all straight?"
This is my feel-good fic. Patrick Stump just is that irresistible. Also, this fic has the best line in all bandom fics ever: A couple weeks later 'Serenade (Surrender)', another love song about Patrick Stump produced by Patrick Stump, becomes a hit. Big surprise.

Patrick tries to get things right.
Angsty relationshippy fic that you can't stop reading. Cheater-lore.

Asking to Be Born by longtime_lurker. Pete/Patrick. NC-17, Mpreg.

Another mpreg, a really good one. This is a bandom classic already, like, the equivalent to "A Beautiful Lifetime Event" in SGA fandom.

Oh dear god, I am slowly slipping to the dark side O.O
I've read few of ficbyzee's stories and they are really quite good. Then I went and listened to some FOB, looked at some photos and tried to remember who looks like what (None of them looked liked I thought they would based on the fics.) Mostly zee seems to do MCR fics, and Bob/Frank are fun ^^. I've actually listened to MCR occasionally before (and bought their album and so on), although as usual for me, I had no clue who were in the band or what they looked like.

Then I remember these are real people and I'm supposedly squicked by that. Except I am not so much anymore. Eeep. Maybe because I can't really see the people in the stories as 'real people'. I mean, sure, there's real person with the same name and sort of similar circumstances, but (for me) it doesn't feel that much like I'm reading about -them-.

I've never read mpreg-stories (or have quit the moment I realized that's where it's heading), and still pondering if I dare with these ones. Maybe after I've read the others. Maybe.

But angst/relationship, some fluff and some hatefic, and some fun, that's great ^^

I mean, you are welcome! I intentionally left out almost all crossover fic for these recs to not confuse anyone still not into this. I read a bit MCr and Panic at the Disco fics, too, but I lack the emotional investment on them. Patrick and Pete are like my new Rodney&John, Fraser&Kowalski, Heero&Du.
