Oct. 22nd, 2007 11:50 amAh, first night in the new flat. I got through about one third of my project of putting all my crap stuff to their respectable places (or at least to someplace.) My mom is going to check my new place out on Thursday, so that will be a good incentive to have things done.
Oh no! The fridge is broken. I don’t think that I will bother to harass the seller about it; I will just buy a new one. Now I would only need to find a store that sells fridgerators that isn’t in the middle of nowhere and who delivers and carry the old one away. I’m even ready to pay for that I don’t have to handle the delivery by myself. Look! I’m a consumer! That purchases services!
I was so tired that I didn’t bother to find a store late in the evening. My foodstuffs consisted of lukewarm Coca Cola Zero, some mandarins, instant coffee, and… Salt. I was so hungry and craving for sugar that I tried to find a candy stash that I had bought to send out in a “Weird candy from your homeland”-swap challenge. Ended up opening every freaking box and satchel but I still didn’t fine anything. Ended up putting a lot of stuff to their places, though. So here is a tip to try out; Make a fried to hide candy in your stuff when moving, that makes you unload it faster ;)
Managed to establish a working internet connection the first night. That must be a record. I only had to try phoning the provider’s hotline for an hour before getting through and hearing that my connection problems originated from the cable- and radio socket symbol plate having been installed to point wrong symbols…
