I walked in in this little privately owned clothes shop and managed to spend in twenty minutes more money on clothes that I have ever spent in one standing. Urgh. How that even happened? Anyway, now I'm the proud owner of the world's most beautiful winter jacket ever, and an office jacket with a leopard print (!). The owner imports the clothes from France by herself. I wanted to buy every freaking rag in that store, and there almost would have been sizes for doing that!

Oh well. At least now I understand better women who justify their purchases with "but I just had to have it."

A little shop in Helsinginkatu, near the Sörnäinen metro station, called, believe it or not, "Hytösen puoti". The clothes go from unbelievably stylish to "the mother of the bride" and back, and sizes are not an issue!

Ah, cool, will have to check that one the next time I'm in Helsinki. What was the price range?

shirts 40-80eur, office jackets 120-200eur, winter jackets 120-220eur, scarfs and hats from 5 eurs and up, plus they sell underwear. Expensive, yes, but office jackets in those sizes would cost even more if bought from a plus size store.

wtf, phrases "size is not an issue" and "unbelievably stylish" don't belong in the same sentence, or at least not in Finland! thanks for the tip. :]

The name of the shop, please! If they sell decent-looking AND Moomin-sized clothing, I need to visit them right now.

Helsinki, Sörnäinen, Helsingintie 12 or so, called "Hytösen puoti" (!) The funny thing is that thir outside stand adverticed caps (lippalakki) when actually they mostly sell french garments and ald fashioned underwear.

Sounds good! Overall I'm spending the weekend with my sis and her kids (because the kids need to see me) but I think that I can take a bus to the city for a couple of hours on saturaday.
