  • This unemployed-thing made me a fungus. Only took about a week.

  • I'm still happily listening my Chris Kirkpatrick mp3. I really love the new addition in the end of the bridge, the I never believed that the grass wasn't greener, The sky isn't falling, I didn't stop breathing -part. The song tells so blatantly about depression that it will be either discarded as something uncomfortable or it will be eaten like candy. No other options, really.

  • The most hated house work ever: defrosting the fridge. I always manage to do it when the ice box is already completely frozen shut and the freezer is in a serious threat of a spontaneus defrosting. I started 7 hours ago and I will be in it through the night and tomorrow, too. *hates*.

  • List of television series's that I will buy when I get rich and stop being poor:

    Numb3rs
    Lost
    Due South
    Homicide
    OZ
    Nip/Tuck
    Gundam Wing
    UK Queer as Folk
    CSI
    Wiseguy
    UK Cracker
    X-Files
    Buffy the Vampire Slayer

  • List of television series's that I would buy if they would be released (and why aren't they?!):

    Hardball
    Friday the 13th the series
    Nasty boys
    Action (Jay Mohr comedy)
    the Sentinel
    Mission Impossible (the second series)
    Robin Hood (1980's)

And what do you mean you haven't even heard about them!?! ;)

  • List of television series's that I actually own:

    Firefly
    Miami Vice (season 1)

Robin of Sherwood (1984?) is already released, I've seen it in Anttila. Also bought it, ahem. Can't remember the price though, it was probably on sale.

It is?! I browsed eBay for it and when it didn't show up, I figured it wasn't released. Maybe it was buried between all those Disney movies... Swell! I have to look it up!

It's not on sale, but each box costs like 25euros, so it's not total robbery.

And does everyone love Robin of Sherwood? I'm impressed!

    *happy jig*

Im unempioyed myself... but that needs to change and quick like.

Who am I---- yeah that added three lines really drives the whole point of the song. Makes me want to jump on a plane, find Chris, hug him and tell him how much he's loved and respected. I can't even begin to imagine what his life has been like, though that song definitely sheds light. So personal-and grateful he's put it out there. Sometimes things just need to be said.

As for the defrosting of the fridge--ugh. that sucks to the nth degree. I usually let it get way way out of control where there are thick sheets of ice surrounding my small freezer. Definitely not a fun task so *hugs* for that.

But I have the time with the fridge, since I'm unemployed! ;) Sheesh...

I never believed that I didn't stop breathing My thoughts are the same as yours. Now that I looked up the complete words, I noticed that I had somehow missed the meaning of the "Far from good" in the first lines. That really sets the tone for the rest of the song. Also, the "Caught up in circles there's no one can see me through" part rings so true, since people with depression really do get caught on thinking in circles without the way out.

Poor boy-no wonder he's the ever constant clown. Covering up pain with laughter--some of the best well known comedians of our time are those who have been through hell. though I'm really looking forward to the rest of the music. dang good song. you know its good when you have it on repeat. If it were a record it would be worn out now.

I'd go mad with delight if I had enough money for Buffy. I keep looking for it over here and keep coming up with nada. I found Season 2 once but I'm dying for Season 7, and apparently Buffy isn't nearly as popular as Roswell and 24 here.

I also really want Northern Exposure (my favorite TV series ever) and any Star Trek series on DVD. I also want Felicity and Dawson's Creek and Firefly. If they ever issue Witchblade on DVD, I want that too.

Ooh, Norther Exposure! I want that too! Dunno about Star Trek and Felicity, though.

Oh, and I know! Twin Peaks! I'll buy it right away after I get rich!

It comes in a really cute zippered moose shaped bag, too! But, absurdly expensive for just a few episodes, and they don't even have every season yet!

You should buy a lottery ticket every day... my student made a very good point last week that made me think about it in a different light. (The lesson was about spending habits.) He said that the lottery is an investment that is low risk with high return. Low risk because you don't put a whole lot into it- a single lottery ticket costs like a dollar- and high return because, well, the jackpot is pretty huge, though there is about a 1% success rate. But if it happens- the easiest million dollars to make! So, heh, a suggestion for a DVD investment plan! *g*
