It was a strange episode and I found it very unsatisfying. It had a lot of good elements but on the whole it was off somehow. Carson was Rodney's best friend? Since when? It was John Rodney asked to read his eulogy just a couple of episodes ago, before that spent all his free time playing The Game and now they barely interacted. And is John supposed to be intersted in Teyla? Who is Teyla supposed to be interested in?

Why on earth was Carson killed? And is being killed by exploding tumors better or worse than being killed by drapery (like Sirius Black)?

It was like the writer was given characters and a setting but no info on how they realte to each other.

Btw Jewel Staite (Kaylee in Firefly) is joining the cast next season. I suppose she could be the new doctor.
